The Maram Baptist Church Kohima celebrated its Silver Jubilee on September 27 (Friday) at its Church premises in Kohima under the theme, “Proclaim His Greatness.”
Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), was the speaker of the celebration service. In his message, he reminded the members not to forget the goodness of God, His mercies, and favor upon mankind, informed a press release by Koinonia Media Ministry.
He called upon the congregation to look unto Jesus and be prayerful Christians, rooted in Christ and His words. He emphasized that the celebration of Jubilee should be a celebration of breakthrough, deliverance, healing, and prosperity.
Rev. Kiewhuo also pronounced the Jubilee Blessings upon the congregation.
Rev. Lumtsuo Ezung, Executive Secretary of the Nagamese Baptist Church Association (NBCA), extended greetings to the church and reminded the members to reflect on God’s faithfulness and greatness. He also called upon the church to introspect, urging that MBCK should be significant to the hearts of people, not merely a successful church.
Rev. Ezung emphasized the shared responsibility of building the church and urged the congregation to be mature believers and witnesses of the Lord.
Earlier, Rev. P.K. Jacob Pungnamei, Founder Pastor of Maram Baptist Church Kohima, dedicated the Silver Jubilee monolith and delivered the welcome address. The souvenir was released by Rev. Phomlee Van, Pastor of Kohima Phom Baptist Church and Advisor of Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship (KBPF).
The program was led by Dr. Chingpai Lily. Special songs were presented by the Children’s Ministry MBCK, Maram Kohima, and the Jubilee Choir. Scripture readings were done by Akuba Vizo and Isaac, Deacon. The vote of thanks was delivered by R. Standhope, Church Secretary, MBCK.
