A National Departmental Summit on Institutionalising Capacity Building: From Training to performance linked Governance was attended from the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on May 15 through virtual mode. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for DoPT Government of India, graced the summit as Chief Guest. S Radha Chauhan, Chairperson Capacity Building Commission (CBC) gave a special address and the program was Chaired by Rachna Shah, Secretary, Ministry of Personnel, Government of India.

The summit was organised by Ministry of Personnel, Government of India and Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India. The Summit was attended by senior officials of ATIs (Administrative Training Institutes) and CTIs (Central Training Institutes), State representatives from General Administrative Department, Karmayogi Bharat and various other entities.

Deliberations were on the four themes; Unified framework for role focused & performance-linked Capacity building, strengthening training institutions, Leveraging AI and technology for Hyper personalised learning and Reimagining Cadre Training aligned with CBPs. This Summit was a culmination to the State workshops held across the country on the above themes and recommendations of which been submitted to the CBC.

During the summit, emphasis was laid on strengthening citizen-centric governance, enhancing administrative efficiency, promoting digital initiatives, and sharing best practices among States and institutions. The participating officials also deliberated on emerging governance challenges and collaborative approaches for effective policy implementation and service delivery.

The programme was attended online by V Shashank Shekar, IAS Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Department and APC and Director General of Administrative Training Institute, Nagaland along with other officers from Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P& AR) Department, Government of Nagaland including Bendanglila, Additional Director, ATI, Kaholi, Joint Director, ATI ,Km Imlibenla Jamir Deputy Director ATI, Peter Konyak, Lect. IT, ATI and Km Limakumla Under Secretary, P&AR Department.
