The state wide bandh on 14 January called by the Nagaland Public Action Committee (NPAC) has been deferred.

The decision to defer the bandh was taken at an emergency meeting of the NPAC held here at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.

NPAC Convenor Theja Therieh stated that the bandh was deferred after the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) comprising of eight tribes appealed to the NPAC to defer the bandh in view of the ensuing meeting of the CNTC for Naga political solution on 17 January.
