On the occasion of the 13th National Voters’ Day, the Election Commission of India, Peren district celebrated the day with the rest of India under the theme ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure’.

The program was held at ADC Conference Hall, Peren.

Vineet Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Peren, spoke on the occasion.

During the programme, first time voters were felicitated and awards presented to the winners of the essay and painting competitions organised by the Election Commission of India, Peren district on the theme ‘Clean Election’ under SVEEP activities, which were held last year on 15 July 2022.

The winners of the essay writing competition are:

1st – Peleno Angami, BA 5th sem, Peren Government College (PGC)

2nd – Keyichetle, BA 5th sem, PGC

3rd – Peramtingyi, BA 5th sem, PGC

The winners of the painting competition:

1st – Hingdabambe, BA 3rd sem, PGC

2nd – Keheibale Hegwang, BA 3rd, PGC
