The United Sangtam Likhüm Pümji (USLP) has resolved and reaffirmed its resolution to support the ENPO resolution to abstain from participating in the upcoming Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 general election.

A notification from the USLP on Wednesday stated that “any individual violating the resolution shall be ex-communicated from the Sangtam community effectively”.

It further informed all aspiring candidates to refrain from filing nominations till further orders from the ENPO.

It may be mentioned that the USLP, during its emergency meeting on 21 January, had resolved to “fully support” the ENPO resolution to abstain from polls and had further empowered the United Sangtam Students Conference, Akehta Sangtamlarü Thsimüjang and the village councils to implement the resolution.
