NDPP candidate Priyadarshni Rana assures all round development for Upper Chandmari Ward 12

The NDPP candidate for KMC Ward No. 12, Priyadarshni Rana on June 14 affirmed to work for the young and old of the colony if elected to be their representative in the ensuing Urban Local Body election from the ward.

Addressing her election campaign kick-off cum blessing programme at Unity Shed, near Home Guard Office here, Rana appealed the electorate of the Ward to “help her in the election and use her as their representative”

She assured to work in consonance with the colony leaders, elders and the young alike to bring about all aspects of development and progress for the Ward.

An advocate by profession, Rana assured that being a citizen of the ward, she will start providing free legal service to the locality people and continue even after the election.

She also promised to start a day care centre for the elderly of the colony within 250 days of being elected to Kohima Municipality.

Declaring her vision of contesting the ULB election as “Open boundaries, open doors”, she said “We will bring transparency and accountability to decisions and action, so everyone knows what is up.”

She also asserted for an inclusive development and that she would ensure every corner of society thrives. Expressing concern on the youngsters stepping into wrong directions, she called upon them to join hands and work together for their welfare.

Urging the electorates of the colony to vote for Rana, Advisor for School Education & SCERT, Kekhrielhoulie Yhome said that once elected she will work together with NDPP, the party which is running the affairs of the state and would also have majority of its candidates in the Kohima Municipal Council and other ULBs after the elections.Yhome also affirmed that NDPP has given party tickets to non-Angami tribes considering the cosmopolitan nature and also showing the inclusivity of the party because of which a minority women candidate from the Nepali community has been given the ticket in Chandmari.

“Priyadarshni Rana is a capable lady and with her experience as a Supreme Court lawyer and also as social activist the Ward 12 would benefit and also help towards making Kohima shine one day,” he said while urging the electorates to vote for her.

NDPP Kohima Region President Prasilie Pienyü, NDPP Kohima Region women organization President Kekhrienuo Mor and other party leaders also spoke during the event.
