In his speech, Rüpreo lauded the Chiechama farmers association for bringing alive the traditional farming culture in the Village. Encouraging the farmers to carry on the traditional way of agricultural practices by helping each other in the village, he stated that for generations traditional cultivation forms a vital part of our cultural identity. He lamented that the younger generations, after migrating to urban areas in search of comfortable lifestyle, education and employment opportunities are wasting their time mostly on mobile phones and are moving away from the age-old traditional practices.
He therefore called upon the younger generations to embrace and preserve the traditional agriculture practices and knowledge to ensure food security, self sustainability and also to keep the cultural roots alive. At the same time, he also urged the farmers to work with honesty and dignity to receive blessings from Almighty God.
