The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed the Director General of Police, Nagaland for probe investigation against Reny Wilfred, IAS, Joint Secretary Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) on charges of sexual harrasment at workplace.

The ANCSU sought the DGP’s immediate intervention on the case of sexual harassment by  Reny Wilfred to female employees at the workplace.

“It is to put on record that Mr. Reny Wilfred earlier had been booked for an alleged sexual offence involving two minor girls during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Noklak in 2020-2021, which clearly justify that Mr. Wilfred is an aggravated repeated offender of sexual harassment and assault. Despite, continued charges and mental trauma inflicted on the victims, his case remains unresolved is a grave concern. Such undesirable behavior and attitude is a threat to civilized society and stands in stark opposition to the value of safety and respect for the women and children,” stated the ANCSU.

We place our confidence that your esteemed authority will address this case on urgency and prevent unnecessary confrontation from the students’ community,” asserted the ANCSU.
