The student bodies of Chakhesang and Rengma Tribes have on Monday stated their support for Naga Students’ Federation’s demand to reduce the viva-voce marks of the component in the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination 2022 conducted by Nagaland Staff Selection Board.
NSF is demanding that NSSB bring down the Personal Interview marks from 12.5% to 5% and had given a representation to Nagaland Chief Secretary threatening to boycott the interview process.
The State Government through the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms in its reply has appealed the current recruitment process be allowed to continue without change in the interest of the future of meritorious youth.

Chakhesang Students’ Union in its press communique, stated that the interview marks ‘may invite unfair means to sabotage justice to the deserving candidates.’
‘For any society to advance socially, politically and economically, there should be an equal representation from four corners with meritocracy ruling out favouritism, nepotism or political influence in the matters of employment to public office,’ it added.
Rengma Students’ Union said that it was ‘appalled at the lackadaisical attitude of the concerned Department that despite the genuine demand made by the Federation to uphold the interest of the students and youth community, the NSSB has announced the schedule for the Personal Interview of the candidates qualified for Combined Staff Recruitment Examination 2022.’
RSU stated that it will be boycotting the interview and requested its members appearing for the same to abstain from reporting for the said examination.
