The village gate of Singrep village in Kiphire district was inaugurated today by Yangtsathri, Dobashi of Kiphire town.

Yangtsathri shared his happiness and gratitude towards the village. He encouraged the villagers to stay united and to always live in peace. He hoped that this gate would bring more peace, prosperity, more scholars and leadership and longevity of the people in the near future.

Just like the old gate was broken down for a new one to be built, Yangtsathri said, the people should throw away all the old grudges and enmity and move ahead towards a better future.

Tsitongse, president of Kiphire Area GBs, in his speech applauded the cultural dancing group for their folk-dance presentation and for upholding the culture of performing a dance during the creation of a new gate as done by the ancestors in the olden days.

GB Yangseo also gave a speech in which he welcomed the guest of honour and thanked all the people who worked for the village gate.

Speaking on behalf of Singrep village, he said the village is ready to cooperate with the district administration in any developmental activities and is also ready to provide land and resources when necessary.
