The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee has affirmed that it unanimously supports the Central leadership’s decision to allot the Party ticket to NPCC President S Supongmeren Jamir for the forthcoming 2024 General elections.

AICC had declared Jamir as its candidate for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland on 8th March 2024.

Expressing its gratitude to the Party leadership, Nagaland Congress also avowed “to leave no stone unturned to ensure that his candidature gets the campaign of the most persuasive kind.” In a press release, NPCC further congratulated Supongmeren Jamir “not just for the well deserved recognition of his exceptional leadership but also for rising to the occasion and accepting the challenge in true fashion of a leader who leads from the front.”

Earlier on Thursday, the Zunheboto District Congress Committee welcomed the decision to field S Supongmeren Jamir as the Party’s candidate and thanked the Congress leadership for recognizing the hard work and efforts made by Jamir.

Zunheboto Congress assured that it will “go on an all out campaign throughout the length and breadth of the district covering 7 assembly constituencies to ensure that our candidate emerges victorious.”
