Zisaji Presidency college visits Shalom Orphanage Home

Kiphire: The visit took place as part of the celebration of India’s 75 years of independence

The Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire, led by the principal in charge, Dr Purna Chandra Mishra, along with Smt Mamata Panda, ANO, NCC girls unit of the college and girls cadet visited Shalom Children’s Home, at Rest House Ward, Kiphire town today.

The visit took place as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate India’s 75 years of independence.

The team was welcomed by the caretaker on behalf of the superintendent of Shalom Children’s Home.

The college donated stationeries, rice, lentils and snacks among other items to the children’s home and assured the residents of their support in any way possible in the days to come.

Dr Purna Chandra Mishra encouraged the children of the orphanage to always work hard and have dreams as life gives everyone just one time to live. He emphasised on believing that everyone can be someone in life and stressed that everyone should work hand in hand and be willing to sacrifice certain things in life for a better future.

The program ended with a mass prayer of blessing and thanksgiving.
