The Khukishe village held the inaugural function of the council hall on 17 December at old football ground khukishe village.

Ahovi Zhimo while addressing the welcome address gave his heartfelt gratitude to Pukhayi Sumi and his colleagues, EAC Aghunato, Area GB’s, Aghunato area leaders and all the people present for the programme.

Hokishe Yepthomi, Head GB while delivering a short speech thanked Pukhayi Sumi, Advisor Food and Civil Supplies, Govt of Nagaland for extending a helping hand towards the people of khukishe village in completing the village council hall.

Yepthomi said through this hall it would bring justice to the people of the upcoming generation in doing what is right.

Pukhayi Sumi in his inaugural speech extended gratitude to the people present in the program and also thanked all the GBs of Aghunato area for coming and attending the inaugural function.

He also said the council hall that has been built today should bring justice to every house with the presence of God.

He also encouraged the cultural team of Khukishe village to not lose their tradition or culture but to keep it alive.

Earlier the programme was chaired by Viyikhu Yepthomi; invocation was pronounced by Tonoli, Associate Pastor women; dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev Khutovi, Pastor, Khukishe Baptist Church; Cultural item was presented by men and women of khukishe village and benediction was pronounced by Libo, Associate pastor youth.
